DockGuard’s V-Fenders are fitted to the new pier extension at Kennacraig Ferry Terminal in Scotland. The V-Fenders, that consist of DGL800 Leg Fenders and solid yellow UHMW-PE shields, have been installed at one end of the ferry route and similar fenders are currently being supplied for installation at the opposite end of the route in Port Ellen, Isle of Islay.
The Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL) owned terminal at Kennacraig was extended by Graham Construction and designed by Halcrow Group. DockGuard’s V-Fenders were chosen as a competitive, robust system to provide long term protection of the upgraded facilities and to complement the existing fender systems.
