Toft & Ulsta Ferry Terminals, Shetland Islands, UK
In 2002 DockGuard secured the contract to supply Dew Pitchmastic with the complete fender systems for the newly built ferry terminals on the Shetland Isles of Toft and Ulsta. The two berths, one at each end of the ferry route, are kitted out with identical fenders each of which were individualy designed to suit different locations on the berth. DockGuard designed and manufactured the steel frontal panels which were mounted on cone rubber elements and supported by an assembly of chains.
